Lives To Transform

LIFE IN UPPER NKONGHO MBO

High in Cameroon’s Mbo highlands, families in Fonki, Lebe, Lebock, Mbemfe, Ngientu, Njungo, and Nzeleted face daily barriers to clean water, electricity, healthcare, education, and safe roads. Yet these communities remain strong and determined. Upper Nkongho Mbo Development Association (UNDA) was founded by Mbo natives who returned with a plan to bring lasting change. Together, we’re restoring hope and opportunity where it’s needed most.

Food Insecurity

Many families cannot access enough nutritious food year round. Children go hungry while local farming potential remains untapped due to lack of resources and infrastructure.

Barriers to Education

Limited school supplies, crumbling classrooms, and long impassable distances deny children the education they deserve and the future they can build.

Lack of Health Care

Basic medical care is often miles away and financially out of reach. Preventable diseases cost lives simply because help cannot get in fast enough.

No Clean Water

Families walk hours daily for water that isn't safe to drink. Waterborne illness is common, and the burden falls hardest on women and children.

Impassable Roads

The region's roads make every journey a challenge — blocking market access, emergency services, and the aid that could transform these communities.

Isolation

Geographic isolation means communities are left behind by development. What they have in abundance is resilience — what they need is connection and support.

The UNDA Project  Upper Nkongho Mbo Development Association  was founded by Mbo natives who grew up in these villages. We don’t just know the challenges; we lived them. That’s what makes us different.

We are not outsiders arriving with assumptions. We are family, returning with purpose. Every project we run, every resource we deploy, is guided by a deep love for our communities and a firsthand understanding of what is truly needed.

Installing protected wells and gravity fed water systems that give families reliable, safe drinking water ending the daily 3-hour water walk for hundreds of women and children.
